I currently use Windows XP Professional. I’ve heard nothing, but bad things about Windows Vista, so I never updated. Now that MS Windows 7 is out … is it worth it to up date my operating system?

I am using it now, I think it is very fast, apart from visual things there is no real difference from XP.
You can use Windows+Tab to navigate through windows which is really good. Also the aerosnap feature is very good! The taskbar is easier because you can put the programs you use the most there and when you Quicklaunch them, it just highlights the icon to show it is running. I think it is worth it yes, the only bad thing I have to say is there are bugs when you are using the “Slideshow Desktop Background” the most annoying one being, every time it animates, there is a little screen flicker! Apart from that it is worth the cost and you can put the CD in and double click to do an upgrade without backing up
I am using xp and windows 7..
as for usage xp is best for all soft-wares.. we can not use most of s/w in win 7.
performance of win 7 is same as xp.. looking nice, extra features added to win 7…
compare here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/compare/versions.aspx
you need good system configuration for win 7
you can upgrade from xp to win 7 as genuine
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/default.aspx
otherwise search for cracked os on web
If your hardware can handle Windows 7 then I say go for it: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows…
That test can tell you if you are capable of running Windows 7.

I think so because my friend said it more or less the same as XP.
