I let my friends use my computer a lot, but every once in awhile someone downloads something that causes pop-ups, virus, and makes the internet run slower.
Is there any settings I can change so you have to enter a password when you try to download something?
I have Internet Explorer and Windows XP if that helps any.
Thanks in advance.

Might a recommend giving them a limited account?
It’s virtually impossible for a virus to infect your computer if it’s downloaded using a limited account.
NO> there is no setting to prevent them from downloading anything…I strong suggest making a seperate account and them using the guest account only…they will not be able to download, delete, or change anything on your computer because they are a guest and not the Administrator…
