Popular Indian playback female singer K.S. Chithra’s daughter drowned in a villa swimming pool in Dubai Emirates on Thursday, giving an outpouring of condolence from thousands of Indian residents in the UAE.

8-year-old Nandana passed away after drowning in the pool at a villa in Emirates Hills in the morning as the famous singer was reportedly getting ready to go for a rehearsal for a big concert in Sharjah later in the day. Chithra and her husband Vijayshankar were blessed with Nandana after 15 years of wedding.

A Dubai Police source told the parents saw the kid in the pool at the patio after they know that she was not inside the house.

A family source told Nandana had reportedly stepped out to the patio and accidentally slipped into the pool before being not noticed by anyone. “Chithra had left nandana in the bedroom after showing her a bath. The child walked out when Chithra was having a shower. Unfortunately, the pool was very close to this bedroom,” he said.

Though the child was instantly moves to Cedars Jebel Ali International Hospital, she was titled dead on arrival. Close friends and colleagues who ran to the hospital could not console the devastated mother who was fame for her special caring for the child.

As the news of the death of the child broke during the day, condolence messages began pouring in from thousands of Chithra’s fans in the UAE, India and other nations.

Just like Google’s Instant, Yahoo’s Search Direct forecasts search results as you key in the keywords into the search bar. The announcement comes a week after Yahoo introduced Search Direct in U.S. in the beta stage.

“The new search engine forecasts search results as quick as a person types – character by character, and gives those results dynamically, producing a fast, simple search experience that goes beyond little blue links,” told Prabhakar Raghavan, chief scientist, senior vice-president and head of Yahoo Labs. Despite competition from Google, Yahoo reaches out to thirty million unique users per month in India, which is nearly 74 percent of the Indian Internet audience. Loyal Yahoo users hence finally get one of Google’s most creative features on the search engine of their choice.
